houdini fx, geo fragmentation, dust and particle simulation
helped The Marmalade Hamburg with a Fragment Houdini Tool and some massive advected dust particles.
The dust simulation is an advancement to the setup I did on catrice_color
This time transferred from ICE to POPDOPs in Houdini, which allowed for some proper gas advection…and fair more points.
I’ve prepared a setup/ workflow for the shattering of that coffee beans too. All fragment edges and planes are distorted to help out with that usual unnatural “voronoi look”. This setup allowed for proper artistic fragment placing, with automated uv generation and normals clean up.
All exported as Alembic and OpenVDB form Houdini to Softimage for shading/ lighting and rendering.
